The Wild Rose Ball Hockey Association is the recognized governing body for the sport of ball hockey in the Province of Alberta with over 5000 sanctioned men and women playing this great sport.  Member Leagues are able to offer their teams and players the opportunity to represent at sanctioned Provincial, Regional, National and International Tournaments.The WRBHA is the largest and oldest association in Canada and the only recognized Provincial Sport Association for ball hockey in Alberta by the Canadian Ball Hockey Association.  The WRBHA is a member of the CBHA and affiliate member of the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation.  To join the sanctioned sport of ball hockey and earn the opportunity to represent at one of the many sanctioned tournaments, please contact our Membership League(s) in your community. 


Full Member League - Registration is $205.00 per team. Associate membership with the CBHA, insurance (liability, medical, dental), roster forms, rulebooks, Referee Certification Course* and Provincial Championships.  Leagues also benefit from the ability to send their League Champion to Provincial Championship Tournament (held annually on the August long weekend), and a Technical Director to certify officials for league and  Provincial Championships. Minimum number of teams required to constitute a league is six. League cost to send a team to the Provincial tournament is $650.00.

Associate Member League - Registration is $150.00/team. Same benefits and features of membership.  Associate Membership is for the first 2 years of a league and during this time there are no voting rights at meetings.


Full and Associate Members - Registration is $2.50 per player for all leagues who were members in the previous Spring/Summer season.  No Provincial Championship or Referee Certification courses are offered. Minimum number of teams required to constitute a league is six.

*Referee Certification Course - Registration is $50.00 per referee. Upon completion of a Referee Certification Course the certified WRBHA Official will receive insurance compatible with team package (above), a CBHA casebook and the right to officiate in any sanctioned league in AB and across Canada. Certified Officials have the opportunity to be selected to represent at the Provincial Championships and from this provincial tournament the opportunity to be selected to represent at a CBHA Regional or National Tournament.    

Game Ball - The D-Gel Pro ball is the official ball used by the WRBHA as the provincial sport organization of the CBHA. Balls are $99.00 per case of 50 balls plus shipping, if applicable.


- The largest league in Alberta is in its 32nd year of operations. The registered
non-profit Association offers Men's, Women's, and Minor ball hockey programs in the City of Edmonton. All games are played out of the 4-plex Soccer Centres, a safe, clean place for ball hockey players to play in. There are competitive and recreational levels of play, so that any player, regardless of skill level or age, can play the great game of ball hockey in the city of Edmonton!

  CALGARY SUPERLEAGUES Superleagues is a sports league franchisor dedicated to providing the highest level of fun, organization, and value to amateur leagues in the sport of Ball Hockey. The Calgary Superleagues franchise is the largest league in the Superleagues family, supporting over 150 teams year round, and is one of the fastest growing ball hockey leagues in Alberta. Calgary offers leagues for Men, Women, and Youth with a variety of competition levels suitable for most players.

  Edmonton Metro Ball Hockey   EDMONTON METRO BALL HOCKEY - Est 2004 - Going into its 21st year of winter, and 10th year of summer operations, things are going well for the oldest ball hockey league of the Metro family. With the recent addition of its own year round facility, the Metro Sportsplex,  EMBH offers ball hockey programs for Men, Women, Juniors, Masters and Co-Ed, ...and for all skill levels in each. From recreational to competitive, to the elite player. EMBH plays all its games in clean, standard NHL size hockey rinks and complexes, in the city of Edmonton and surrounding areas.

 Grande Prairie Metro Ball Hockey     GRANDE PRAIRIE METRO BALL HOCKEYEst 2003 - Celebrating 10 years of operation offering men, women and youth programs. The fastest growing league in the Metro family is eagerly looking forward to 2013! Providing a fun, organized atmosphere for the ball hockey players of GP, ... hopes are high indeed with expectations of hitting all time highs in membership, especially for the Men ... possibly even adding a tournament or two. Metro and the local community are currently working hard at securing a facility for a much anticipated winter program!

   MEDICINE HAT BALL HOCKEY - The Medicine Hat Ball Hockey Association offers adult and minor kids programs this spring and summer season. Run by a group of dedicated volunteers, this southern Alberta center offers a 17 game season plus playoffs for adults. They take teams or individual players and will find a place for everyone to play. The youth program is now an impressive 40 teams strong which has increased the size of our adult league to 26 teams this 2012 year. With continued growth, ball hockey in Medicine Hat has been well received by all.
- Superleagues growing ball hockey in Lethbridge! Superleagues is a sports league franchisor dedicated to providing the highest level of fun, organization, and value to amateur leagues in the sport of Ball Hockey. The Lethbridge franchise is the newest addition to the Superleagues family, offering Men, Women and Youth programs.

Fort McMurray Metro Ball Hockey   FORT MCMURRAY METRO BALL HOCKEYWith the strong support and commitment from the local community and facilities, Metro has resurrected the sport of ball hockey in its (youngest÷ member and Wild Rose's most northern centre. Fort Mac is the 2rd member in the Metro family to offer year round ball hockey. Adding a womens and junior program now, will only prove the sky's the limit as far as membership goes in this town, and city has welcomed Metro with open arms in growing the sport of ball hockey!

 Highway 13 Ball Hockey   HIGHWAY 13 BALL HOCKEY - Est 2011 Offers the game to communities along Highway 13 and surrounding      areas. Highway 13 is celebrating its 4rd year of ball hockey and continues to look forward to the development of the sport through community support.
